FR-S BRZ Supercharger Kits

The Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ are incredibly fun to drive, but the stock 200-horsepower leaves some owners wishing for more. Luckily, the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ respond remarkably well to forced induction, gaining over 100 horsepower with a simple bolt on supercharger kit.

Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ supercharger kits retain the same power band that makes the FR-S and BRZ so entertaining to drive. Unlike turbo kits, supercharger kits for the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ add boost at all RPM levels, which makes the cars more drivable and also reduces strain on drivetrain parts.

No fully custom FR-S or BRZ is complete without a supercharger kit, which can add up to 50% of the factory 200-hp. Cars equipped with a Scion FR-S supercharger kit or Subaru BRZ supercharger kit have made over 300 horsepower.

Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ supercharger kits come with everything needed to supercharge the FR-S and BRZ.  Most kits are sold as “tuner” kits with no engine management software and should be tuned by a forced induction specialist for maximum horsepower.

Since the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ use the same engine, Scion FR-S supercharger kits and Subaru BRZ supercharger kits will be identical.

  1. Do I need to make any transmission adjustments. Also is It tuned, and will my gear ratios change. I love the car but I hate changing gears thee times to get to 60 mph. Also is there any gas issues like turbo. Will Toyota service the car after this is put on. Not talking warranty. All this car needs is 300hp. Any more then you need wide body kit tires and more. The lotus uses super chargers.

    1. James, with any big jump in horsepower, you’ll need to look at your transmission and gear ratios, as well as fuel. These cars are handling extra power well though so you might not need to change your tranny right away. There are kits available tuning software and “tuner” kits that don’t come with software, so you’d need a custom tune. I would talk to a reputable tuner about your performance needs and your goals for the car before you start down any particular path.
